Virginia Gillette is a member of the Criminal Defense Department in the firm’s Hartford Office. Her practice includes matters related to criminal investigations, arrests, plea negotiations, trials, and post-conviction appeals for a variety of cases ranging from misdemeanor offenses, DWI, larcenies, and domestic violence to serious felony matters, assault, sexual assault, and homicide.
Attorney Gillette is a graduate from Quinnipiac University School of Law (2020). While in law school, she was a member of the Defense Appellate Clinic, where she represented a defendant throughout the criminal appeal process and successfully argued the appeal to the Connecticut Appellate Court, resulting in a reversal. She also routinely competed and served as an Executive Board member for the Mock Trial Honor Society and served as a member in the Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society. Attorney Gillette graduated from the University of New Haven (2017) with two bachelor’s degrees in National Security Studies and Forensic Psychology and a minor in Sociology.
Attorney Gillette is admitted to practice before all of Connecticut’s State Courts, the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. She is an active member of the Connecticut Bar Association, the Hartford County Bar Association, the Connecticut Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, and the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association
