Alimony

A party must show a substantial change in circumstances when seeking to modify an alimony order. Often this is a result one person’s income substantially increasing or decreasing. Once it is shown that a substantial change in circumstances exists, the Court considers the same criteria it did when establish the last alimony order. The modification of alimony can also involve the suspension or termination of an alimony award.
