Connecticut Woman Was Injured After She Was Hit by a Car
Some of the most common causes of serious injuries are car accidents. Often, pedestrian accidents typically result in serious injuries — or worse — for the victims. A Connecticut woman was injured after she was hit by a car.
The accident happened on a recent Saturday morning in Middletown. Reportedly, it took place after midnight at the intersection of two local streets. A 52-year-old driver of a Chevy sedan struck the pedestrian. Medics transported the woman to the hospital for treatment of life threatening injuries, but her identity was not released. It’s not known if the driver, also a woman, suffered any injuries.
Authorities have asked the public to contact them with information about the accident. Officials are still conducting an investigation into the matter, and the driver has not as yet been charged. No further details about the accident have been reported.
Pedestrian accidents can be frightening and cause a number of serious injuries. While the details about how this accident happened are unknown at this time, further investigation will likely document exactly what occurred. The pedestrian is undoubtedly experiencing a great deal of pain and suffering as a result of the crash, and depending on the extent of her injuries, she may be required to continue outpatient treatment after being released from the hospital. Connecticut residents who have been seriously injured from an accident caused by the negligence of someone else have the right to file personal injury claims against that party party. The civil court system typically adjudicates these legal claims based upon evidence of negligence and, once established, proof of the injuries and financial damages that resulted.
