Bruce Newman, who served as plaintiffs’ class counsel in connection with a lawsuit against Purina that settled for $6.5 million in 2016, and was a signatory to a mediation agreement that resulted in a $23.5 million settlement against Menu Foods following the largest pet food recall in history in 2007 is currently investigating claims against Gravy Train’s owner, J.M. Smucker Company, following a finding by the FDA that pentobarbital was found in its food. Additional recalls may be forthcoming.
