Marriott hotels has disclosed that there has been a serious data breach affecting 5.2 million guests of the hotel. It is unclear at the present time whether or not payment information has been stolen but certainly other personal identifying information such as dates of birth, addresses, etc. have been compromised. This is the second data breach that Marriott has been subject to in a three-year period. Following a data breach into 2018 Marriott had to pay over $100 million in fines to British authorities.
