My decision to concentrate my legal practice in Divorce and Family Law was one which evolved from my early years of general practice. I found over time that my relationships with my divorcing clients and my sense of being able to help them through difficult transition periods in their lives was the most fulfilling area of my practice. While I continue to represent clients in traditional court-centered divorce, I have become convinced through my experiences with divorcing clients that those who can participate in non-adversarial processes such as Mediation and Collaborative Divorce often achieve the most satisfactory and lasting outcomes. I currently have over 200 hours of mediation training and over 90 hours of Collaborative Training.  My prior experience in real estate and civil litigation also provide me with knowledge to understand all aspects of my clients’ situations, and being a senior partner at Brown, Paindiris and Scott LLP provides the support of our legal team when other types of legal issues arise.

I am admitted to practice in Connecticut and in the U.S. District Court for Connecticut, the Second Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court. I am proud to be a charter member of the Connecticut Council for Non-adversarial Divorce formerly the Connecticut Council for Divorce Mediation (Past President) and of the Connecticut Collaborative Divorce Group. I am also an Advanced Mediator member of the Academy of Professional Family Mediators, an advanced practitioner member of International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, and a past president of the Hartford Association of Women Attorneys. I am a member of the Connecticut Bar Association, a past Chair of the Family Law Section and a member of that section's Executive and Legislative Committees; a member of the Hartford County Bar Association (past co-chair of the Family Law Committee), and the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association. My peers have designated me as a "Connecticut Super Lawyer" in the annual Connecticut Super Lawyer Magazine, Family Law, 2010-2019. I am a graduate of Ursinus College and the University of Connecticut School of Law. I have spoken at family law and mediation conferences around New England.
